A New Ireland

Clovis Renewable Energy

The Climate Action and Low Carbon (Amendment) Act 2021 commits the Irish Government to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030 and achieving a climate neutral economy by 2050. There are several actions in this plan that need to be taken to reach the targets and one that a majority of us can do something about is to increase the proportion of energy that comes from renewable sources for heating our homes e.g. heat pumps, solar, biomass. A prerequisite to this is to reduce the amount of energy required to heat our homes.

That’s where we come in! Here at Clovis Renewable Energy, we’re dedicated to Irish renewable energy initiatives, starting initially with carrying out domestic Building Energy Ratings (BER).

About me:
I’m an engineer and project manager, with 25+ years of experience across a range of industries. I have always had a keen interest in renewable energy and studied it for a semester at university. Throughout my career in industry I have sponsored and managed a number of energy saving projects and for a number of years led an energy reduction team across five industrial facilities. In 2016 I executed an energy saving project in my own home, installing a heat pump and carrying out various other measures to reduce the amount of energy we were using and hence improving our BER. I have recently qualified as an SEAI domestic BER assessor. I can execute your BER and give you practical advice on how to reduce the amount of energy you’re using in your home.
